Events, Courses and Retreats For This Year

I run a variety of events throughout the year. Some of the courses are open to the general public and others are closed for specific groups or organisations. 

​

The Mindfulness Based Longevity Programme

​

We live in a complex and tricky world and health care professionals commonly report a variety of adverse health issues, as a consequence of doing their best to care for others in systems that are often under resourced.

Ian has taught mindfulness to thousands of health care professionals, who commonly report the following reasons for accessing mindfulness courses at work: Stress, anxiety, depression, kept awake at night by a worrying mind, feeling overwhelmed, lack of self-care, low energy and mood, loss of motivation and self-confidence.

In response to the above, Ian created the Mindfulness Based Longevity Programme, to encourage participants to stop, rest, recover and prioritise their health and well-being.

​

In this groundbreaking course you will:

​

  • Learn about the importance of the core pillars of health, well-being and human flourishing and incorporate them into your daily life.

  • You will be guided through a number of mindfulness based practices in each module, that have been uniquely designed to allow you to tap into your body’s ability to down regulate and self-soothe.

  • This will allow you to learn let go of your stress and relax faster after a stressful event, leaving your more energised and positive.

  • You will be offered a range of additional resources to help you build a health and well-being plan that will help you create long lasting changes for the better.

  • You will learn how to build a robust system to revitalise and rejuvenate your body; bring a sense of calmness to your mind, which in turn will help you handle challenges with clarity, focus and balance.

Course Format

​

The course will be delivered, face to face, in four one-day workshops (09:30am-5:30pm), across a 9 month period, at a venue in Cumbria in the North West of England. There will be an optional practice review session, online on Zoom in the month in-between the course workshops (date TBC). Participants commit to the whole programme and cannot participate in individual workshops only.

Cost

​

Each workshop will cost £100 and is payable one week in advance of the beginning of each workshop. If a participant misses a workshop, they may be offered a face to face or online catch up tutorial (lasting up to two hours), at the discretion of the course facilitator. There are no refunds if a participant fails to attend the workshop.

​
